Black Cat Strut

Kick off the day with coffee from All Your Heart Coffee and donuts generously donated by Fern & Fur Pet Supply Company. Before the walk begins, support FCCO through donations, cat food purchases, cat-themed swag, and our raffle.

Activities at Fern & Fur Pet Supply Company

• Donate cat food in the collection bin, or purchase food directly from Fern & Fur to donate.

• Enter FCCO's raffle for a chance to win a gift basket and other great prizes. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. You do not need to be present to win. Winners will be announced later that day.

• Spin the wheel, answer a cat trivia question, and win a cat kicker toy.

• Get a cat mask or light-up cat ears for a suggested $5 donation.

Participants will set out on a guided walk through the neighborhood while searching for hidden cat cutouts along the route - and maybe spot neighborhood kitties in their windows.

How It Works

• Each participant will receive a walk card featuring a route map and hidden cat guide.

• Along the route FCCO volunteers will hand out costume contest tokens for their favorite costumes. The participant with the most tokens collected wins a gift basket from Fern & Fur Pet Supply Company.

• Hidden Cat Hunt

  • Find all 9 hidden cat cutouts along the route.

  • Return to Fern & Fur to receive a sticker or temporary tattoo for completing the hunt.

Once all participants have returned to Fern & Fur:

• Turn in your costume contest tokens at the FCCO booth.

• The participant with the most tokens will win a gift basket from Fern & Fur Pet Supply Company.

• Participants must be present to win.

• Tokens will be counted after the final strutter returns.

After the Strut, head over to Last Stop PDX and continue supporting FCCO.

• $1 from every drink sold will be donated to FCCO.

• $1 from every pretzel sold will also be donated to FCCO.

• Cat-themed coloring pages featuring the hidden cat artwork.

• Cat-themed word puzzles, mazes, and trivia inspired by previous No-Labor Day events.
