Spay/Neuter Assistance Programs in Oregon and SW Washington

OREGON Spay & Save is a project of the Animal Shelter Alliance of Portland (ASAP), of which FCCO is a founding member. ASAP seeks to dramatically reduce the euthanasia of cats across the Portland, Oregon, metro area. FCCO's role is to provide spay/neuter services for feral and stray cats for this program, as well as the pet cats of qualified residents on public assistance. Alley Cat Allies - This national feral cat network promotes humane feral cat population control throughout the United States,conducts workshops, publishes and distributes resource materials, and operates the Feral Friends Network, which links novice caregivers with experienced colony caretakers. Best Friends Animal Sanctuary - is the nation's largest for abused and abandoned cats and dogs and other animals. Located in Angel Canyon outside Kanab, Utah, they receive animals from all over the country, and have no fewer than 1,800 being cared for at any given time.

Idealist Action Without Borders - A nonprofit organization that promotes the sharing of ideas, information and resources to help build a world where all people can live free, dignified and productive lives.
