Clinic Volunteers (Technical)

Volunteer Title:
Veterinarian
Qualifications: Licensed veterinarian in the state of Oregon or Washington. Individual rules vary so check with us if you are not licensed in Oregon or Washington. FCCO operates a fast paced spay and neuter clinic, so it is preferable if you can perform a routine ovariohysterectomy in under 20 minutes. If you are not up to that speed, just let us know so we can schedule the veterinarians accordingly. Many veterinarians become quicker after volunteering a few times, and it is comforting to have an experienced surgeon next to you while gaining more experience.

Volunteer Title: Veterinary Technician or Assistant
Qualifications: Licensed CVT or experienced Veterinary Technician or Assistant

Time Commitment: Approximately 4 hours per clinic shift (1 hour CE given per hour volunteered).

Schedule: Friday clinics: 9am - 1pm. Sunday clinics: 9am - 1pm or 1pm - 4pm.

If you are interested in volunteering, and you're at least 16 years of age, please click here to fill out our Volunteer Application. You may also print the application and mail it to us at: FCCO - PO Box 82734, Portland, OR 97282.
